#20- Moving Foreward
I would really like to go on a service trip to help build schools, wells, and homes for people in underdeveloped countries like Sub-Saharan Africa, The Middle East and Asiatic places like Bangladesh, Thailand or China. Also i wish to become more involved in women s rights acts to help show that we are all equal. I would like to further my education about theses issue throughout my college and university years to gain more understanding and insight on why these global implications are occurring in our world today.
#19- What I've learned From This Course
I have learned many things from this course; Women's Rights Issues, the Global Water Crisis and history making events like the Arab Spring. What i will take away from this course is that i must keep up on current events so i can educate others about the issues in our world. Also i think that my debating/presentation skills have improved over the course of the year allowing me to persuade others to see and agree with my point of view. I will use my better refined skills to help organizations like animals shelters to gain funding.
18- World Issues Course
I think the theme of this course was to educate young people about the ongoing problems that are happening around our world today as well as learning of new issues and developing theoretical solutions. I think my choice about joining the course has made me more self aware about how i participate in today's society whether it be who i buy my clothes from or where i buy my grocery; i am more globally aware of how affect other people by supporting destructive companies like Joe Fresh or Wal-Mart.
#17- American Gun Laws
If I was an American I would be pro-gun law because guns don't kill people; people kill people. You can't force a gun to fire its self, a person must pull the trigger. I do think that gun laws need to be reformed and the American government needs to become more invested in stopping illegal arms trades. Being able to carry a firearm could potentially save the life of some; a woman being attacked by a person bigger than her, a man being attacked by multiple assailants, a shop owner being violently robbed. I'm not saying that shooting someone is okay but being able to defend ones self is a security that all humans wish to poses. Some people do that by take a self defense course some, carry firearms.
#16- Modern Terrorism
Stereotyping people based on religion is one of the reasons modern terrorism is so common. Most of the time, in recent terrorist attacks anyways, the accused are young testosterone filled men who have been pushed into making a catastrophic choice because of a emotional event having to do with the government in which they live under. Many of these situations that have occurred could have been avoided if the government wasn't so bias and corrupt in the sense that labeling people based on their religion, physical appearance, economic status is what pushed people to make an unreasonable choice that could have been avoided.

#15-Religion in our Government
Religion has no place in the government. Religion negatively influences the governments decisions over issues like abortion rights, gay rights and womens rights. Government should be a non bias based unit but many politicians are bias because of their religious views that say that homosexuality is a sin, it is wrong to abort a fetus no how it came to be alive; rape, drunken sex and women should not be allowed the same opportunities that men receive. Religion does have so good point like "thou shall not kill" but murder is morally wrong, its unnatural for a human to kill another human. But the negatives out way the positives.
#14-Food Dumping in Developing Nations
Food dumping is wealthy nations giving food in the form of aid in lump sum. I think food dumping is contributing to corruption in developing nations because the food is not being directly disturbed to the people in need. We need to teach the people how to grow renewable resources so the can feed them selves as well as start to export good so their economy can grow.

#13- Attacks on Canadian Soil
I think that the terrorist attacks on Canadian soil are going to cause skepticism in the people about how well the government has control of who comes into Canada. Also Canadian citizens are going to become panicked and concerned about using public transit as well as being out in public. Also the stereotype that Islam is full of terrorist and is a terrorist nation is going to be reinforced in Canadian society because of the two people arrested.

#12- PTSD Because of Boston Bombings?
Post traumatic stress disorder is going to be a major concern for people who were at the Boston marathon bombings. But what about people who witnessed it, had friends and relatives at the bombings? How are they affected? What about the rest of the country. People all over the states and even Canada could be affected by PTSD and become worried about attend public events like parades and fairs. The bombs were made to cause mutilation and damage not to kill people. The intent was to inflict fear in the average citizen and people know that. Some people may rally and groups may form to show strength but the majority of the population in North America is going to become scared and worried about their safety. Also doubt in the government could also develop.
#11 -US Drone Stikes
I think that the drone strikes are a horrible idea, the USA is causing more issues than they are supposedly fixing. The claim to be bombing directly at terrorist groups when most casualties that occur are civilian. Countries like Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan are going to continue to hate and become angrier towards the US as well as become less willing to come to peace terms if the US continues to randomly bomb "terrorist" groups in the Middle East.

#10- North Korea
North Korea is creating tension throughout the world with is war threats and their availability biochemical weapons has the UN on the edge of their seats. If i was President Obama I would start to prepare for an attack as well as try to reason with NK to try and calm and create peace with them. If NK was to fire any biochemical weapon the entire world would be effected severely.
#9- The Sexualization of Mainstream Society
Todays society has become a "rape culture". Men are considered dominate and sex sells everything. Also youth are having sex at a younger age; they are no longer waiting for a special relationships or connections Having sex is as common as having a cavity now a days, its no longer "big deal". Also we are surrounded be ads that practically naked women and men on them. I think that the sexualization of mainstream society is a problem; pregnancy, rape, unrealistic views of men and women through porn, STIs are all becomeing more prevalent in our society.

#8-Poverty
Wealthy nations like Canada and the U.S. need to provide aid with no strings attached, therefore the developing nations do not need to worry about coming up with the funds to pay the wealthy nations back. Also a higher percentage of donations from charities need to been spent on actually helping the people instead on advertisement and supporting the charity its self. Also wealthy nations should help the developing nations with discovering new sustainable resources that bring in a high income.
#7 Israeli Settlement Building
I disagree with the Israeli's resuming building in the El Zone because it is going to cause problems with Palestine. They are to close to Palestinian land which is going to interpreted as a threat or as dominance and fighting could break out.

#6 Newton School Shooting
I think that a lot about the the shooting was misunderstood. They man who killed the 28 people was mentally ill and had down syndrome. Though it doesn't give him an excuse to kill innocent children and teachers, it must be take into consideration. With violence in our society, the person who commits the act of murder will get highly publicized and that killer will get more publicity than the victims In some cases it doesn't happen but most times it does. I think that this happens because of how normalized violence has become in our society due to video games, t.v. shows and movies.
#5 World Issues Conference
The World Issues Conference is an excellent opportunity for young students interested in the world around them. The conference allows kids from other schools to meet and talk about the issues and problems that are going on the world while be guided by older students and influential leaders in the world. ex.
